So, this is the start of both this blog and a writing project! I love writing, but I rarely have the inspiration for an original story. So very much inspired by Jamie Oliver, I'm starting to collect recipes and whatnot for a cookbook!
I thought of this li'l sandwich when I came home from a late day of work. I almost started making it as I thought my stepfather hadn't eaten dinner - but before I could slice up the leftover chicken, he came out to make dinner for the both of us. So I pass this one on without even trying it first!
Ingredients:
2 slices of white bread
Filling:
Some leftover chicken
2 slices of turkey bacon
1 avocado
2 - 3 slices of feta cheese or likely (or if you can only get it cubed, a small handful of cubes, chopped up or crumbled).
Fry the bacon.
Slice up the chicken and give it a fry on the pan, just for the sake of the heat.
Toast the bred a bit.
Cut the avocado in halfs, remove the stone, and scrabe out the flesh with a spoon or a knife. Mash it.
Put the mashed avocado on both slices of bread.
Add the chicken on once of the slices, and the bacon on top of that.
Add the feta cheese on the other slice, and put it on top of the other slice (the filling facing each other). And VOILĂ!
Until I try it muself, I'd love to get some comments.
